Mrs. Talma Jean Burgess age 76, of Dresden died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Weakley Co. Rehab & Nursing Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Burgess will be Monday, December 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery. Dr. Don McCulley will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. Mrs. Burgess was born June 16, 1939 in Weakley County, TN to the late Talmadge and Bonnell Carlton Taylor. She was a secretary for Pamela Jones for many years until she retired and was a member of Dresden First Baptist Church. She was also preceded by one sister, Mary Beth Brewer. Mrs. Burgess was the wife of Jim Burgess, the mother of Kerry (Renza) Adams, and Kimberly (Billy) Powell all of Dresden, TN. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
