William Edward Hunter, Sr., 79, of Martin, TN died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services for Mr. Hunter will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Bible Union Baptist Church near Martin, TN with burial to follow in Eastside Cemetery also in Martin. Friends may call Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home. On Saturday, the body will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM to service time at 11:00 AM. Mr. Hunter was born August 1, 1933 in Weaverville, NC to the late Ogle and Lucy Brigman Hunter. He was a Retired US Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hunter was also a steel worker and a member of Bible Union Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Enomoto Hunter of Martin, sons; William E. (Debra) Hunter, Jr. of Martin, Johnny J. Hunter of Appleton, Wisconsin, Dewey (Kimberly) Hunter of Val Rico, Florida and Robert L. (Rhonda) Hunter of Canton, Georgia, thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one brother, James Eldridge Hunter of Morganton, NC.
