Mr. Everett Dewayne “Wayne” Baker, 76, of Medina, TN formerly of Dresden, died Thursday June 20, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Milan. Funeral services for Mr. Baker will be Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Dresden First United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 4:00 PM and continue until 7:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home. On Sunday, the body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. Mr. Baker was born August 13, 1936 in Clarkton, MO to the late Virgil Allen and Dexter Hale Baker. He was the Warehouse Manager for Hall’s Printing Company and a member of the Dresden First United Methodist Church. Mr. Baker was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Baker. He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Christianson Baker whom he married December 3, 1955. He is also survived by sons, Steve (Teresa) Baker, Nashville, TN, Brian (Lynn) Baker, Ocean Springs, MS, Kevin (Donna) Baker, Southaven, MS, David Baker, Prattville, AL, and Jeff (Nichole) Baker, Medina, TN, twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild, brothers, Harold Baker, Rolling Meadows, IL, Allen Ray Baker, Kansas City, MO, and Randall Baker, Campbell, MO, sisters, Bonnie Brown, Campbell, MO, Francis Maddox, Clarkton, MO and Sara Ruth Whitehead, St. Louis, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dresden First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
