Funeral services will be Saturday August 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the First United Pentecostal Church, 1105 Edwards Street, Union City, TN with burial following in the Brock Cemetery in Greenfield, TN. Visitation will be held at the Church Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume Saturday at 10:00 AM and continue until service time at 1:00 PM. Nick was born October 28, 1958 in Martin, TN to Shirley Mansfield Stroud and the late Billy Joe Stroud. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Union City and was a retired Lead Mechanic for United Airlines. Nick is survived by his wife Tracy Gallimore Stroud of Dresden; a daughter, Skylar Chandler-Stroud of St. Charles, IL; his mother, Shirley Mansfield Stroud of Dresden; a sister, Vicki Love of Dresden; a niece, Amanda Love; a nephew, Chad Love; a stepson, Bobby Bath of Dresden; a stepdaughter, Kristina Powers of Sidonia; and two step grandchildren, Rylee Thomason and Peyton Powers. Mr. Jackson was born October 24, 1928 in Weakley County, TN to the late Clarence William and Lula Tuck Jackson. He was a retired grocer. He owned and operated Leadway Supermarket in Dresden for 20 years. He was a member of Dresden First Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Jewel Jackson and Hershel Jackson and sisters Lillian Jackson, Kathryn Culbertson and Hazel Collier. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife Hazel Tilley Jackson of Dresden; daughter, Sandra Smith of Dresden; sons Tommy (Cathy) Jackson of Dresden and Ron (Teresa) Jackson of Martin; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a sister, Lilla Hardman of Dresden.

Tilman Lee Arant, 78, of Dresden, TN died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bible Union Baptist Church, Martin, TN with burial following at Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home. On Sunday, the body will lie in state at Bible Union from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00. Mr. Arant was born on August 20, 1936 in Carlisle County, KY to the late John Odis and Beda Lee Green Arant. He was the owner of Mister A’s Family Hair Care in Dresden, a member and deacon of Bible Union Baptist Church and a mason in the Dresden Lodge. He married Wanda Sue Lowe Arant on June 5, 1954 and attended barber’s college and jewelers school. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Trevor D. Arant. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Dathan (Diana) Arant of Dresden, grandsons; Dustin (Carrie) Arant of Sharon, TN and Daniel (Kristin) Arant of Hornbeak, TN, great grandsons, Deegan and Trevor Ryder Arant, brother, Gary Dale (Alma) Arant of Baguio City, Phillipines and sister, Merlene Wilkerson of Mayfield, KY.

Mr. Petty was the son of Johnny and Martha Tosh Petty, Sr. of Dresden. He was born January 25, 1975 in Union City, TN. Jason was a pest control exterminator and a Baptist. He is also survived by his brothers, Johnny (Melissa) Petty, Jr. of Dresden, and Chris and Chad Petty both of Martin. In addition he is survived by his maternal grandparents, John and Marion Tosh of Rutherford, TN. Grandparents, James and Mary Sue Petty preceded him in death.

Iva B. Fulcher Stow, 99, of Dresden, TN died Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center in Dresden. Graveside services were Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Ebenezer Cemetery near Troy, TN. Mrs. Stow was born in Obion County, TN to the late Nichols Elmer and Sara Rebecca Neely Jones. She was a retired seamstress for Kellwood Corporation. and a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Latham, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Toy Lee Fulcher; her second husband, Monroe Stow; her son, Leroy Fulcher; and her daughter Josie R. Haislip. Mrs. Stow is survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.

He was a self employed concrete and construction contractor and a member of Southside Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by his son, Johnny Hoskins and grandchildren, Markie Hoskins and Shelby Lynn Hoskins. Mrs. Mattie Pearl Gallimore, age 90, of Martin, TN, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Vanayer Healthcare and Rehab in Martin. She was the daughter of the late Richard B. and Susie A. (Bradberry) Dilday. Mrs. Gallimore was born in Weakley County, TN on June 13, 1924. She was a housewife and member of House of Prayer, Greenfield, TN. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gallimore was preceded in death by her husband, Haron D. “Billy” Gallimore; three brothers: Robert, Jerry, and Ray Dilday; and two sisters: Alice Felty and Sue Eaves. Survivors include three sons: Joe (Mary) Cavness of Union City, TN, Richard E. (Diana) Gallimore of Union City, TN, Scott Gallimore of Hornbeak, TN; two daughters: Theo (Richard) Wilkinson of Martin, TN, Deborah (Danny) Barker of Hornbeak, TN; brother, Gilbert (Irene) Dilday of Dresden, TN; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Robert George Doxtader, 73, of Dresden, died Saturday afternoon, October 4, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was born September 1, 1941 in Eaton Rapids, MI to the late Robert Edwin and Lillian (Auge) Doxtader. Mr. Doxtader was a self-employed carpenter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Doxtader is preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Ann Doxtader; daughter, Scarlett Tidwell; and one grandson, Nathaniel Shane Tidwell. He is survived by is wife, Daisy Doxtader, Dresden, TN; daughter, Cindy Reynolds, Paris, TN; sister, Judy Whitlock, Plant City, FL; stepson, David (Tracy) Atnipp, Dresden, TN; stepdaughters, Suzie McCay, Huntsville, AL and Sherry Brock, Dresden, TN; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Van Charles Domangue, 62, of Como, TN, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at his residence near Como. There will be no services or visitation. Van was born in Houma, LA on July 28, 1952 to the late Nolan and Helen Babin Domangue, Sr. He was a carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Green. Dennis Lynn Jones, 57, died Saturday afternoon, October 25th, 2014, at his residence in Palmersville. Dennis was born February 1, 1957 in Obion, TN to the late James Robert and Dorthy Adell (LeCornu) Jones. He lived in Evansville, IN for over thirty years. Dennis was an avid volunteer for the community and leaves behind many friends and loved ones. He was of the Catholic faith and worked as a home-health aide. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his companion, Leroy Totten, formerly of Onley, IL, and a niece, Stacy Jones. Survivors include three brothers: Mike (Joyce) Jones, Martin, TN, Bobby (Linda) Jones, South Fulton, TN, Ricky (Wendy) Mason, Martin, TN; two sisters: Linda Cherry, Dukedom, TN, Renee Owens, Palmersville, TN; six nieces: Jennifer Hannon, Melissa Jones, Lori Atterbury, Mackala Mason, Megan Eddington, Maggie Owens; one nephew: Mason Owens; and seven great nieces and great nephews. She was a member of Dresden First Baptist Church. Mrs. Nanney was also preceded in death by her husband, William Clint Nanney, a daughter, Kathryn Freeman and sister, Mary Hart Jackson.
